WisdomWays comes out of Richard’s own inward and continuing journey to discover the deeper essence of who he is and to fully express that which he discovers in the world. It is journey of raising consciousness and connecting with that inner wisdom. Richard created WisdomWays to share some of the tools and processes that he discovers along the way and to support and guide leaders and organizations in their own journey.

The role of “guide” is an important distinction. Richard understands from his own journey that others do not hold the answers for us, but they may guide and assist us in traveling down our own path to truth and wisdom. The guide points out the various directions and options one can take, but the choices are the responsibility of the traveler.

As a guide, Richard brings WisdomWays and it's clients the personal values of integrity, honesty, balance, compassion, wisdom, and trust. Congruent with the role of guide, Richard has chosen to develop the core competencies of coaching and facilitation through training programs that honor these values and “guide” principles.

Background & Experience

Richard Schultz has over 25 years of hands-on business experience. Starting at a very early age, Richard worked in the family retail clothing business experiencing every aspect of the business prior to the age of 20 including sales, buying, bookkeeping and management. After graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce, from the University of Saskatchewan in 1983, Richard spent the next 12 years working for IBM where training and experience included sales & account management, channel management, strategic partnering, negotiation, effective communication, strategic planning, facilitation, financial analysis & team leadership. More recently, Richard has worked in software sales with Landmark Graphics and Applied Terravision Systems Ltd., where he obtained training and experience with the Software and the Oil & Gas Industries.

Richard has travelled extensively in the world. His outward journeys to places like Europe, Eastern Europe, China, Egypt, Turkey, India and Nepal, were accompanied by an inward reflective journey, where Richard searched out his own purpose and life meaning. In 2001, with the creation of WisdomWays, Richard embarked on a new journey to fulfill his purpose: To guide leaders and organizations in reaching their full potential. Richard's vision is that leaders and organizations through expanding into their potential will create healthy, sustainable and fulfilling workplaces.
